Depoe Bay Homes On The Oregon Coast
Depoe Bay Homes come in many different forms including Oregon Coast Oceanfront homes and beautiful Oregon coastal view homes, and Depoe Bay neighborhoods include the gorgeous private gated enclave of Little Whale Cove. Little Whale Cove homes boast the only private oceanfront beach in Oregon.
Located in Lincoln County, on the Oregon Coast, this wonderful whale watching community is loaded with things to do and sites to see. The claim to have World’s Smallest Navigable Harbor is one of Depoe Bay’s many attractions. Whale watching is by far one of the largest draws here! Grey whales move from Alaska to warmer waters closer to Mexico during late December through the first week in January. From mid March to the end of May the whales migrate back to Alaska from Mexico. The resident grey whales are around right here in beautiful Depoe Bay most of the year. The whales feed close to shore and can be heard from the back deck of many Depoe Bay homes.
Depoe Bay has whale museum and many public works of art displayed around town. The galleries also share many artists work both for sale and display only. Galleries along the Depoe Bay waterfront don’t charge for admission. Lots of t-shirts, souvenirs, salt water taffy and saline memorabilia are for sale and well worth having closer look at.
Food is good in Depoe Bay with favorite establishments like Trade Winds restaurant. The views from tables inside the dining room are outstanding and patrons can see whales swimming past from their chairs. We take clients to Gracie’s Restaurant in Depoe Bay. The more casual and historic Gracie’s Sea Hag is across the street on the East side of Highway One. The draw on menu here is the clam chowder which is both award winning and indulgent! Others long for the fresh halibut and ling cod fish and chips. Outstanding! Back to Oregon Coast Homes
